The Egypt Centre’s Young Egyptologist Workshops have been captivating young minds since 2002, offering a unique and engaging experience for school groups in WIMD40 areas. Our workshops have consistently received accolades for their innovative approach to learning, fostering a love of ancient Egypt and inspiring future generations of Egyptologists.
Free Workshops Designed for All
Since their inception in January 2002, the Young Egyptologist Workshops have provided a free and accessible way for children to explore the wonders of ancient Egypt. Each month, 14 children participate in these workshops, led by a team of experienced staff at the Egypt Centre. The workshops offer a unique opportunity for children to learn about hieroglyphs, mummies, pharaohs, and other fascinating aspects of this ancient civilisation, fostering a lifelong love of learning and cultural exploration.
Making an Impact
The Young Egyptologist Workshops have a profound impact on the children who attend. By providing a safe and supportive environment, the workshops encourage children to explore their curiosity, develop critical thinking skills, and build confidence. Many participants have expressed a newfound interest in history, culture, and learning in general, demonstrating the workshops’ ability to inspire and empower young minds.
While our Young Egyptologist Workshops are currently on hold, we are committed to bringing them back in the future. We believe in the transformative power of these workshops and are actively working to ensure their return.
