I am the Learning and Engagement Co-ordinator at the Egypt Centre and the first point of contact for schools, colleges, and home education groups wishing to visit the museum.

A qualified primary school teacher with over twenty years of experience, I specialised as a teacher of pupils with additional learning needs and have a keen interest in inclusion for all learners. I enjoy helping young people and actively encourage their learning, their interest in the world around them, and the history that came before.

I am married and a proud dad of three and enjoy a range of hobbies including running, reading, and spending time with my family. I am a big fan of music, especially rock and blues, and play the bass guitar. I am also a keen fan of many sports, especially cricket and football, and have been a Swansea City season ticket holder for over twenty-five years.

Research Interests

I have a fast-developing interest in all things relating to ancient Egypt and since joining the museum have become increasingly fascinated with our collection. Working in the museum I never cease to be amazed by the range of interesting artefacts we have and how they were used so long ago.
