Access: This accessible toilet is located on the ground floor of the Taliesin building. It is located next to the other toilets.
Entrance: There is step-free access into the toilet. This is a shared toilet, and a key is not required for access.
Door: The door opens outwards and is heavy, with a twist lock. The width of the accessible toilet opening is 90cm. The door has a horizontal grab rail.
Visibility: The toilet features good lighting levels, set by a motion sensor. There is fair contrast between the door, walls, and floor, as well as fair contrast for various grab rails and fittings.
Dimensions: The dimensions of the accessible toilet are 220cm x 188cm. There is an unobstructed minimum turning space of 150cm x 150cm.
Transfer: There is a lateral transfer space of 122cm on the left side when facing the toilet pan. The flush, a spatula type lever, is on the far side of the transfer space. The height of the toilet seat is 48cm.
Grab rails: There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side. There is a vertical wall-mounted grab rail on the transfer side and a horizontal wall-mounted grab rail on the opposite side. There are vertical wall-mounted grab rails on both sides of the wash basin.
Alarms: There is an emergency alarm in the form of a pull cord, which reaches the floor. There is a red flashing fire alarm beacon within the toilet.
Ablutions: There is a wash basin that can be reached from seated on the toilet and is not higher than 76cm. The wash basin tap is a lever mixer type. There is a toilet roll holder reachable from the toilet seat, it is at a height of 92cm. There is a wall-mounted soap dispenser that can be reached from the toilet. There is a hand dryer that is not higher than 60cm.
Baby changing: There is a flip-down baby changing table in this toilet at a height of 90cm, but must be pulled down from a height of 150cm.
Other: There are sanitary disposal units, including for incontinence/nappy waste. There are two mirrors, one above the wash basin and a full-length mirror to the right of the door.
