What Happens in the Virtual Classroom?
- Preparing for Your Virtual Workshop:
Upon booking, you’ll receive a comprehensive teacher pack. This resource includes everything you need to know about the virtual classroom, including post-activity plans tailored to your group. - Engaging Activities at Your Fingertips:
The pack includes a link to our interactive activities. These self-guided activities can be completed individually, as a class, or in small groups. Each activity aligns with the specific ancient Egyptian topic you’ve selected. - A Secure and Immersive Virtual Classroom Experience:
On the day of your facilitated session, you’ll enter a private Zoom classroom. Our digital safeguarding policies ensure a secure environment. If preferred, we can use alternative platforms like Microsoft Teams.
Teachers will enter first, and the room will be locked once all students join. This prevents unauthorised access.
The session will last between 45 minutes and an hour and will be led by one of our expert facilitators. Together, we’ll explore ancient Egyptian artefacts, engage in discussions, and conduct activities to deepen your students’ understanding. This can include the use of 3D objects using our Sketchfab platform. These real-world encounters bring history to life. - Continuing the Learning Journey:
After the session, you can complete the post-facilitation activities at your convenience. These activities are also accessible in your teacher pack.
