Courses

The Egypt Centre offers a comprehensive programme of Egyptology courses designed to cater to a wide range of interests and experience levels. Our courses have traditionally provided an immersive learning experience, with many focusing on the unique artefacts within our collection and incorporating hands-on sessions. While the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a shift to online delivery, we have maintained the high standards of our courses, ensuring participants can continue to explore the wonders of ancient Egypt from the comfort of their homes. By adopting an online format, we have also expanded our reach, welcoming students from around the globe to join our vibrant learning community.

Friends of the Egypt Centre

The Friends of the Egypt Centre support the Egypt Centre and organise an exciting programme of ten monthly lectures per year (September to June). For more details, including the programme, please click here.

Conferences

The Egypt Centre organises annual conferences, which take place both in-person and online. These events are often recorded and made available on the museum’s YouTube channel. The events commonly focus on the Egypt Centre’s collection. For example, our 2021 conference was called Fifty Years of the Wellcome Collection at Swansea and Beyond.
